Will test more at Nordic worlds


The international skifederation (FIS) will conduct more than 1.000 doping tests during the upcoming Nordic skiing world championships.

 

According to the German news agency DPA, the FIS has already conducted more than 500 blood and urine tests from February 1st to 15th. The championships in Liberec, Czech Republic, which start on Thursday and run until March 1. In a press statement FIS writes: "The Nordic World Ski Championships feature one of the largest anti-doping programmes of any international major sports events outside of the Olympic Winter Games and underline the FIS position of zero tolerance on doping."
