Italian boxer positive for Hydrochlorothiazide


The Italian boxer Floriano Pagliara has tested positive for hydrochlorothiazide, CONI announced today.

 

The athlete was tested during the Italian Championships on October 25, 2013. The athlete is currently provisionally suspended by the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI). A date for a hearing has not yet been set. We have registered more than 100 doping cases in boxing in The Anti-Doping Database. India has the most cases with 32 suspended athletes. Nandrolone is the most used prohibited substance involved in 16 of our registered cases. We have registered two cases involving boxing in Italy. In The Anti-Doping Database we have registered more than 300 doping cases related to Italian athletes. 143 of these in cycling alone. 38 in Track and Field and 26 in Soccer.
